The Cape Verdean Association in New Bedford, Inc. is a Non-profit Organization,
founded in 1990.
CVA’s Mission
At this stage of our development, our mission is to secure funds to remodel our new building located at
CVA~NB will be here to serve the greater new bedford community through educational materials, events, and programs that promote healthy lifestyles for our wellbeing and the advancement of Individuals and Family to help everyone become more successful members of our society. CVA’s array of educational services is rooted in a deep understanding of the social and cultural issues affecting New Bedford families. These services will provide families with the opportunity for developing better relationships with their children, their peers, friends, community, and to also develop communication skills, which they can apply in every aspect of their life.
Secretary of State Hilary Clinton says that Cape Verde is an example to all other African countries, because of it's good democratic governance, peace and a country considered as a success story in Africa, which has efficiently used the US economic assistance, including the Millenium Challenge Account. She meet with the Capeverdean Delegation in Sal including Fatima Veiga our Embassador to the United States.
